Make a Difference
Want to get involved?
There are a number of ways you can partner with us in saving the life of a horse in need. At People Helping Horses, we are committed to the lives of every animal in our care – and dependent on the wonderful support of our donors and volunteers to keep our doors open and our mission going strong. Here’s how you can help:
Make a Donation
Financial: Every dollar raised helps us to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome a horse in need of a second chance. Your financial contribution allows us to continue on in this important work – without your support, we simply could not exist. To make a contribution online, visit peoplehelpinghorses.org
Gift-in-kind donations: we are always in need of supplies to aid us in the care of our rescue horses. Items such as lead ropes, halters, fly spray, dewormer, new or gently used blankets, first aid supplies, and supplements are welcomed and greatly appreciated.
Bequests
Leave behind a legacy that will live on for years to come. A bequest or estate gift is among the simplest and most effective tools to ensure that the work you have supported during your life will continue. To list People Helping Horses as one of your beneficiaries, contact your lawyer or financial planner to make an amendment to your will. Estate gifts are vital to PHH’s long-term financial strength!
Company Match
Many organizations offer a company match program to their employees. This is another wonderful way to support the work of People Helping Horses. Contact your employer today to find out if they offer a matching donation to 501(c)(3) nonprofits.
Volunteer
The support of our volunteers is critical to the work we do! The time, talents, and energy that our wide array of volunteers provide is invaluable to the horses we save. From working directly with the horses, to grounds maintenance at our facility, or using their administrative gifts, our volunteers are our backbone. If you would like to be hands-on in supporting the work of PHH, please contact us for more information.
Adopt a Horse
Have room in your heart and home for a horse deserving of a second chance? There are many horses in our care who have been rehabilitated and are waiting for their forever home…could it be you? For more information, please contact us.
Foster
Do you have room in your barn for a horse in need? We are dependent on a strong network of generous foster homes who are able to take a horse or two when our barn is full. If you have room on your property and have the time to help, please contact us today.
Report Animal Abuse
You can become part of the solution. If you suspect mistreatment or neglect of an animal, contact your county animal control right away.
